American Wera, founded in 1991 as the U.S. subsidiary of Wera Werk in Wuppertal, Germany and based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, today represents various lines of German machine tools and metal fabricating equipment, including gear cutting and honing, surface grinding and deburring machines, wheelset presses, straightening presses, rail track presses, multi-spindle lathes, multi-station vertical turning machinery and more.
With over 400 machines installed in North America, American Wera is a market force in precision workpiece and specialty markets such as gear manufacturing, wherever accuracy is a must, regardless of the operation or end product produced.
Standing behind every machine we sell is the service and application engineering departments of American Wera, a recognized leader in supplying machining and fabricating equipment solutions to major American markets, from automotive to iron/steel, gear manufacturing to railroad, heavy equipment to medical. The equipment is supported by the offices located in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Queretaro, Mexico.

When you purchase equipment from American Wera, our own installation and service technicians will typically be with you for pre-acceptance or your equipment in Germany. These key personnel will then accompany the equipment to your site for installation, startup, final runoff and training. At American Wera we do not simply sell equipment, we partner with our clients to offer solutions and success.
